The first ever green dryer were set up recently at the International Builders’ fair. The dryer has technology which can speed drying time up to 41%. It also reduces the consumption of energy up to 50%. Actually dryers are the most energy consuming machines and they do not have to adhere to any energy standards. But the green dryers launched are also known as dryer miser and their energy consumption is very less.

The dryer expends a specifically organized fluid to dehydrate the clothes faster than conventional dryers. When a non toxic liquid is heated in a self contained system, the dryer gives out lots of heat which helps in drying the clothes significantly quicker than conventional dryers. This results in less energy consumption and reduces the cost of energy to the consumers.

The device is being manufactured and only a patent is being awaited for its release. The green dryers will be available in the markets by fall 2008. Actually discussions are going on so that these green dryers come with the original dryers in the future.
